Zoom Zoom Zoom
Introducing Editor Zoom:
- Zoom the screenplay editor: A new zoom control in the editor toolbar scales the page between 100% and 150%, with ⌘/Ctrl +, − and 0 shortcuts. Your zoom level is remembered between sessions, and the page automatically clamps to the widest level your window can actually fit. So zooming never reflows the script out of format or forces sideways scrolling.
Page Tracking:
- Know what page you're on: The editor now shows your current page in the bottom toolbar, updating live as you write and as you scroll. Yes - in a pageless editor. Scriptor's canvas is one continuous page with no breaks to write around, which is lovely right up until someone asks what page you're on, and it turns out "it's a continuous canvas" is not an acceptable answer when a producer wants to know whether you've hit 90.
- Jump to any page: Click the page counter, type a number, and the script scrolls straight there.
Fixes & improvements:
- A refreshed template library: The redesigned template browser makes it easier to explore, preview, and apply templates. Templates are now organised more clearly, with an improved preview experience and new options for screenplays, TV, stage plays, documentaries, and more.
- Scriptor Assistant is running on the latest models: The Assistant now uses OpenAI's newest generation of models, with improved tool use so it's more reliable when reading your script, editing beats and working across your projects.
- Clearer Assistant responses: Replies now stream in more smoothly, with better formatting and tidier handling of long results.
- Improved version control: The version history interface has been refreshed, making saved versions easier to browse, preview, save, delete, and restore.
- Faster, more consistent editing: Editors now preload more efficiently, while word and page counts update reliably when switching between files.
- More polished interactions: We’ve refined menus, selection controls, templates, loading states, and file actions throughout Scriptor.
- Keeping your scripts safe: We've continued updating the technology Scriptor is built on, keeping your work secure and protected behind the scenes.
